Paul McManus Jr.
September 26 1976 - July 21 2006

This online memorial was created in loving memory of Paul Jr, by his mother- his story is told throughout this memorial website. Please sign Paul 's guest book and let us know you came to visit. **************** Paul was killed in 2006 in an accident- by a drunken driver after moving to Charlotte NC for a new job. Paul graduated from UNCC in 2000 with honors/cum laude. Paul gave his all to studying and pursuing a promising career in business finance. He worked at Mario's (in Charlotte) restaurant while attending college. He mentored less fortunate youth and would feed the homeless. He rode his bike to most places until he could afford a car. He was a thoughtful, humble, generous and humorous man. He loved life, his family, his friends and most of all wanted to make the world a better place for everyone he encountered. He gave of his time, would give you his last 5.00 if you needed it & and wouldn't think twice to tell you how much he loved you & cared for your happiness. His promising future was cut short on one fateful night after returning to Charlotte just 20 days earlier for a new job. I spoke to Paul at noon on July 21st. My last call- ******

His last words to me- "I hate to say goodbye- so I'll talk to you soon" I miss and love you" **** Paul's story and my insights / perspectives have helped others through the years. I have shared so much. I hope when you read the upcoming pages- you too may find some strength and comfort- with someone you have lost.

If you were one who knew my son- you will certainly understand everything I say and almost everything I have felt since my doorbell rang at 4am on the night of July 21, 2006. Sometimes the time just slips away and you're left with yesterday & just the memories. I always think of you and smile, and was happy for the time I had you with me.
